22nd August 2015
Earlier this year I decided to apply for the DPAGB (distinction) which the following extracted from the PAGB website explains
The Awards for Photographic Merit (APM) are open to all members of Clubs affiliated to the PAGB through their Federations and are at three levels,

Credit (CPAGB) - Blue badge and certificate
Standard: Good Club Photography

Distinction (DPAGB) - Red badge and certificate
Standard: Open Exhibition Photography

Master (MPAGB) - Gold badge and certificate
Standard: Highest Standard of UK Amateur Photography
The adjudication took place for the various levels over the weekend 15th & 16th August in Ormskirk Lancashire, the distinction level in prints was held first on the Saturday morning, 14 hopefuls bared their 15 prints to the panel of six judges who mark 2 for a no, 4 for a yes, 3 for a may be and 5 if they believe the print exceeds the level, we are looking for that magic figure of 300 which is the pass mark (average of 20 per print)
I am pleased to say I was one of just six that passed, my 15 images with the scores are below.

Les Forrester BA Hons, ARPS, AFIAP, DPAGB, BPE2
